Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry will hold discussions with Burkinabé counterparts to address concerns over Burkina Faso’s fresh tomato export ban, which took effect on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The announcement comes in a statement dated Friday, March 20, 2026 seeks to chart a mutually beneficial way forward for both countries.
The government further reaffirmed its commitment to the “Feed Ghana” and “Feed the Industry” programmes, aimed at boosting local production and meeting growing demand.
Traders are urged to remain calm amid ongoing diplomatic efforts for an amicable resolution.
