The Director of Operations for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah has opined that the bad governance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made many to consider former President John Dramani Mahama as a saint.

In a panel discussion on Angel Morning Show (AMS) hosted by Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah on the Angel Morning Show on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Nkrumah said that the NPP government has not been able to fix the country since taking over power.

He added that, their administration has made former President Mahama to look like an angel .

“We understand the NPP when they say former President Mahama did not manage the economy well but what have the NPP done too?,” he asked.

According to Divine Nkrumah, he disagrees with former President Kufuor for saying Dr. Bawumia will fix the country in five years’ time.

“Didn’t former President Kufuor hear about pensioners and retirees go to the Ministry of Finance every day because the government had withheld their pensions salaries? Did former President Kufuor not see all the things happening under this government?, he asked.

He argued that, former President Kufuor should have apologized to Ghanaians on behalf of Dr. Bawumia as a father who sees his child’s lapses since Dr. Bawumia has failed.
