The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West, Mrs. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey, has officially launched Tinafest, a community-driven festival aimed at raising funds to support and renovate healthcare facilities within the constituency.
Speaking at the launch held at Agona Nyankrom, she explained that several health facilities in the area are faced with serious challenges, including the lack of modern medical equipment and deteriorating infrastructure, which affects quality healthcare delivery to residents.
“The x-ray machine has been ineffective for so many years but till now we haven’t gotten a new one,” she noted.
According to her, Tinafest is designed to bring citizens, corporate bodies, opinion leaders and development partners to contribute financially and materially towards improving hospitals and health centres in Agona West.
Mrs. Dangbey noted that access to quality healthcare remains one of her top priorities, stressing that the initiative will help bridge gaps in healthcare delivery while complementing government efforts.
She appealed to residents, philanthropists and well-meaning individuals to support the festival, adding that proceeds from Tinafest will be used transparently for the intended purpose.
