The Ghana Police Service says it has rolled out comprehensive security arrangements to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration of this year’s Easter festivities.
It said these measures is nationwide, particularly within the Kwahu enclave, which traditionally hosts large gatherings during the season.
In a press release issued on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Service assured the public that personnel have been deployed across key locations nationwide, including event grounds, recreational centres, tourist sites, and other areas expected to experience heavy human and vehicular traffic.
The Service has also intensified patrols with operational teams stationed along major routes leading to and from Kwahu to enhance safety and maintain order.
“Motor traffic personal have also been deployed to manage traffic and minimise congestion throughout the period.”
The Service cautioned motorists against excessive speeding, drunk driving, and urged strict adherence to traffic laws and directions from officers.
Additionally, intelligence operations have been activated across the country to detect and swiftly respond to any criminal activity.
The Police encouraged the public to remain vigilant, safeguard personal belongings, and report suspicious behaviour to the nearest officer or station.
