Vice President of Ghana, HE Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, received two traditional titles following two separate enstoolment ceremonies at Kedzi and Sokpoe, all in the Volta Region.
She was first honoured as Mama Adjagba I of Kedzi during the 2026 Norvikporgbe Za Festival, and later as Mama Tortsogbe I of Sokpoe at the 40th Tortsogbeza Festival.

Prof. Naana Opoku Agyemang he veep expressed profound gratitude and noted that the recognition reflects the enduring value of Ghana’s cultural heritage and the importance of preserving tradition in ways that contribute meaningfully to national development.

She reaffirmed her commitment to the responsibilities that come with the titles, calling for the support of the people of Kedzi and Sokpoe to advance shared growth, opportunity, and progress.
The Vice President also congratulated the chiefs and people of Kedzi and Sokpoe for their vibrant and successful celebrations, describing the festivals as a testament to Ghana’s rich cultural identity.
