Ghana’s Black Stars will start their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign on Wednesday night against Panama in Toronto at 11:00 PM.

The team arrived in Toronto on Monday after completing a 10-day training camp at Bryant University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Scheduled to take place at BMO Field in Toronto, the game will be Ghana’s first match of the ongoing tournament.

Coach Carlos Queiroz’s team has a full squad for the game except Thomas Partey, who is ruled out after being denied entry into Canada.

Speaking during the pre-match conference, Carlos Queiroz noted the challenging task ahead and called on supporters to unite behind them to start their campaign positively.

“We know the size of the mountain that we have in front of us that we have to climb. But we need player number 12. I hope the drums of Ghana will be 90 minutes in our hearts to help us beat our opponents,” he said.

The team will face England in their second game before finishing their group stage with Croatia on June 23 and 27, respectively.
