The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the appointment of Julius Kwame Anthony as a Deputy Communications Director of the Party, with immediate effect.
His appointment was confirmed following approval at the Party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) meeting held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
In a statement, the Party described Mr. Anthony’s appointment as a reflection of its commitment to strengthening its communications machinery, enhancing public engagement, and effectively articulating the policies, programmes, and achievements of the NDC-led government.
The statement noted that Mr. Anthony brings to the position a sound understanding of communication and its strategic application in advancing the Party’s objectives.
It added that his appointment is expected to further strengthen the Party’s capacity to communicate its “vision, deepen public understanding of its policy direction, and sustain the gains” being made under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, particularly within the framework of the Reset Agenda.
“Mr Anthony will bring dedication, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility to his new role, working collaboratively with the Communications Directorate and other relevant structures to advance the NDC’s communication objectives,” the Party expressed confidence.
The Functional Executive Committee congratulated Mr. Julius Kwame Anthony on his appointment and wished him success.
“We extend our best wishes as he assumes this important responsibility in service to the Party and the Ghanaian people.”
The statement further informed the media and the public that Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah, and Julius Kwame Anthony are the official voices of the NDC and the contact persons for matters regarding the Party.
