Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has celebrated his 45th birthday with a concert, ShattaFest 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The event, held on Saturday, October 17, was organised in all-white and attracted a large crowd of Shatta Movement fans who filled the venue with music and chants.
Several artistes performed on the night, including Patapaa, who thrilled the crowd with ‘One Corner’ and ‘Body Fi Body’, his collaboration with Shatta Wale. Fancy Gadam, Jupitar, Kwesi Amewuga, Sista Afia and Medikal also performed.
Sista Afia joined Shatta Wale to perform their hit song ‘Jeje’, while Medikal performed ‘Sika’, his recent collaboration with the dancehall king.
The festival also attracted personalities from entertainment and other sectors, including actress Nana Ama McBrown, CID Director-General COP Lydia Yaako Donkor and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.
Beyond the music, Shatta Wale created talking points on stage when he appeared with two women he refers to as his “two wives” under his self-styled philosophy, “Shattanomy”.
He also told fans that his mother had gifted him $50,000 for his birthday.
A congratulatory message from President John Dramani Mahama was also played at the event, acknowledging Shatta Wale’s influence in Ghana’s creative industry and among the youth.
