Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has urged Ghanaians to embrace unity and work towards peace as the nation marked the end of the Ramadan fast.
The Vice President made the call in a statement after joining the Ahlus Sunna Muslim community at the forecourt of the State House to celebrate the successful completion of the month-long Holy Ramadan period.
She was accompanied by distinguished Imams, clerics, and other citizens.
“The Ramadan fast is a demonstration of discipline, sacrifice, and moral renewal. The period calls us to reflect, strengthen our character, and renew our position as responsible members of society.
“Through this spiritual journey, we are reminded of the values that unite us all,” she stated.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of peace and harmony, noting: “As we celebrate Eid, let us stand together and work towards peace within our nation and across the world.”
“May the blessings of this day fill your hearts with joy, your homes with peace, and our nation with continued unity and harmony,” she posted on Facebook Friday, March 20, 2025.
