According to the statement, the Regional Commander, DCOP Arthur Osei-Akoto, along with his Deputy and other senior officers from the Regional Command, have visited the two communities to engage the chiefs, elders, and youth leaders.
Police preliminary investigations said the violence was triggered by a dispute involving a young man from Asisiriwa who was allegedly cohabiting with a young woman from Brodekwano without the consent of her family.
Police further urged residents of the communities to remain calm as efforts are ongoing to maintain peace and stability.
