The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has disclosed that no hospital under the Agenda 111 project is currently operational despite an expenditure of $4.8 billion.
He expressed disappointment at the pace of the policy implementation and said earlier assurances given to the previous admnistration to the public have not been fulfilled.
Mr. Akandoh argued that the situation presents a major governance and accountability challenge, particularly given the scale of public investment involved.
The minister, however, assured that government is taking steps to ensure the projects are completed rather than abandoned.
He said this during the Government Accountability Series on Monday, April 13, 2026.
