The Appointment Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed FIFA referee Daniel Laryea to handle the Super Clash between arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The clash, a Ghana Premier League (GPL) Week 22 fixture, will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Mr. Laryea will be assisted on the lines by Paul Atimaka and Seth Abletor, with Nii-Kwofie Gideon serving as the Fourth Official.
Considered Ghana’s current top FIFA referee, he recently returned from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he officiated a highly rated semifinal match between Morocco and Nigeria, in addition to other games he handled.
According to the GFA’s Appointment Committee, Mr. Laryea’s selection for Sunday’s clash is a clear “vote of confidence in his ability to manage games of enormous significance.”
