Member of Parliament for Shai-Osudoku Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Linda Obenewa Akweley Ocloo, has donated essential food items to the Muslim community in support of Ramadan fasting.

She explained that her gesture was inspired by the spirit of Islamic charity and communal solidarity, aiming to assist Muslim brothers and sisters during their daily fast.

The items, which include several cartons of Milo, bags of sugar, and bottles of water, were formally presented to and received by the Zongo Caucus Coordinator for onward distribution.

Madam Ocloo expressed hope that these modest contributions will provide the necessary nourishment for Iftar and Suhoor, easing the physical demands of the fast and helping the faithful focus on their spiritual devotion.

The MP, who is also the Minister of the Greater Accra Region, prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the Muslim constituents as they observe Ramadan.

“To the entire Muslim Ummah, I wish you a blessed and peaceful Ramadan. May your prayers, sacrifices, and acts of benevolence during this holy month bring immense blessings to your families and foster a spirit of unity and progress throughout our region.”

The Ramadan fasting is expected to end at sundown on Thursday, March 19, or Friday, March 20, 2026, depending on the moon sighting.
