Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Afram Plains North, Betty Krosbi-Mensah, has pledged to transform the women’s wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into a structure that builds, develops and deploys power, if elected National Women’s Organiser.
The aspirant said her vision is to reposition the wing from a largely mobilization-focused body into a strategic political machinery capable of delivering electoral victory and influencing national development.
She explained that her leadership will prioritise capacity building, inclusiveness and effective grassroots activation of women at all levels of the party structure.
Krosbi-Mensah also congratulated all women organisers elected in the party’s recent internal elections and commended unsuccessful aspirants for their commitment to the party.
“To all women organizers-elect and to those who lost, your commitment and contribution remain valued. Let us put the contest behind us, unite and continue working together for the growth of the women wing and our party,” she said.
She called for unity within the women’s wing as the NDC works to consolidate its base and strengthen its organisational structures ahead of future electoral contests.
