MP for Mfantseman commissions 6-unit classroom block

The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region, Ophelia Mensah-Hayford has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block for Abeadze Akropong M/A Basic School at Abeadze Akropong in the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly of the Central region.

The six-unit classroom block with an office, a store room and toilet facilities was an initiative of the former MP, late Ekow Kwansah Hayford to aid the transformation of education in the community.

He aimed at creating a conducive teaching and learning environment for both teachers and students so that they can concentrate on their studies.

Speaking at the ceremony to commission the school at Akropong, Ophelia Mensah-Hayford, the wife of the late MP told the leaders of the municipality to take the opportunity to spend wisely in developing the education sector in the area in order to jealously protect the future and present generations or risk losing quality human resources abound in mfantseman to illiteracy and ignorant.

According to her education has become the driving force in her reign as a lawmaker representing her people.

She added that her late husband was committed to the development of Mfantseman, the mfantseman dream and the national agenda to make education a priority for holistic development of rural, peri-urban and urban communities nationwide.

She urged the community members and the school authority to strive hard to maintain the facility for the benefit of the students and the community as a whole.
