Ghanaian gospel musician Jack Alolome has claimed that invoking President John Dramani Mahama’s name helped him overcome an alleged incident of racial discrimination he encountered on a flight.
Recounting the incident in an Instagram post on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the musician alleged that some white passengers had insisted that he be removed from the flight or they would not board because of his skin colour.
“The white people saw me and decided not to board if I was also going to be in the flight. So either they drop me, or they weren’t going to board. It’s two options,” he said.
Mr Alolome, however, said he swiftly responded to the alleged discrimination by identifying himself as a popular Ghanaian musician who performs for President John Mahama. He further threatened to sue the passengers if they succeeded in forcing him to leave the flight.
To his surprise, he claimed to have told them that he would use the money from the lawsuit to purchase a private jet to fly back to Ghana.
According to his account, the passengers were frightened by his threats and the subsequent mention of Mr Mahama’s name, which he said enabled him to board the flight.
“And you know now president Mahama has become fearful, he knows the rule and laws. So the white were scared at the mention of his name,” he stated.
Praising the President, Jack Alolome said Mr Mahama’s name now commands respect among white people.
“President Mahama, I salute you. You’re too much. Now when we mention your name, the whites become scared. Your name delivers evil spirits from the whites,” he said.
