The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to shake the streets of the Western Regional capital, Takoradi with a walk dubbed ‘John the Baptist’ walk.
The party’s National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye who disclosed this said the walk forms part of activities lined up for the party’s manifesto launch on Sunday, August 18, 2024, ahead of the December 7 election.
Nana B as he is popularly called explained that, the walk is to prepare the minds of Ghanaians and energise the party’s base.
He said the walk will take place on Sunday morning, with participants to begin from Fijai Junction and end at the Effiakuma Astro Turf.
“The walk is called John The Baptist because it will prepare the minds of Ghanaians for the victory manifesto 2024 also known as Yesu manifesto launch at 2pm. The manifesto committee chaired by Kyei Mensah Bonsu has done a fantastic job,” he said.
Nana B added that, big stalwarts including former President John Kufour, President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh will grace the event.
He also assured of maximum security as the Police will be deployed to ensure orderliness.
